ESPN announced that country music singer and Baskin, Louisiana native Lainey Wilson will be “College GameDay’s” guest picker when LSU hosts Clemson on Saturday (6:30, ABC). The studio show is visiting Baton Rouge for the 15th time in its 500th road broadcast.
Wilson is a Grammy award winning artist and experienced guest picker. She appeared on SEC Network when the Tigers hosted Florida last season and backed the home crowd.
“I’ve spent a lot of my time down here in Baton Rouge doing a bunch of tailgating and drinking them cold beers for breakfast,” Wilson said. “I’ll be honest with you, I don’t remember a lot of it. But … I know something I’m gonna remember for dang fact, and that is LSU is gonna to put a whoopin’ on the Gators.”
LSU went on to beat the Gators 20-10.
GameDay will begin its broadcast from LSU’s campus at 8 a.m. CT and conclude with the week’s game picks before 11 a.m.
