Lane Kiffin’s star-studded first LSU roster landed eight players on the 2026 Preseason Coaches All-Southeastern Conference Football Team announced Wednesday. The Tigers’ five first-team selections are tied for the most in the league with Texas.

LSU’s eight representatives on the three teams rank fourth in the conference. Texas and Georgia led the way with 11 each, followed by Oklahoma with 10.

Junior tight end Trey’Dez Green and junior left tackle Jordan Seaton headline the first-team offense. Green was named to the All-SEC second-team offense by the coaches last year after setting an LSU single-season record with seven receiving touchdowns by a TE. Seaton was also a second-team selection in the Big 12 at Colorado in 2025. Both were preseason Associated Press All-Americans this year. Green was named to the first team, and Seaton was named to the second team.

On the first-team defense, senior linebacker Whit Weeks returns to All-SEC glory after an injury-riddled 2025. Weeks was a consensus All-SEC first-team choice in 2024 when he had 125 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and an interception as a sophomore. Joining Weeks is senior Ole Miss Transfer Princewill Umanmielen. The defensive end was third in the SEC with nine sacks as a Rebel last season. He finished the year as a third-team All-SEC pick.

The final Tiger named to the first team is junior punter Grant Chadwick. He received third-team honors from the SEC coaches in his first season at LSU after transferring from Middle Tennessee last year. Chadwick averaged 45.7 yards on 62 punts, which ranked third in LSU history.

LSU had one player on the second team — sophomore defensive back DJ Pickett. Pickett was a freshman All-American and freshman All-SEC selection after playing in all 13 games last season. He caught three interceptions to go along with three pass breakups and six passes defended.

Fifth-year senior center Braelin Moore landed on the third team. The Virginia Tech transfer allowed just one sack in 12 starts his first year in Baton Rouge. Boise State transfer Ty Benefield joins Moore on the third team. The senior was first-team All-Mountain West last season after recording 107 tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss, two interceptions and three pass breakups. He was also a 2026 preseason AP All-American.
