Three Tigers were named 2026 preseason All-Americans by the Associated Press on Tuesday.

Junior tight end Trey’Dez Green of Zachary High in the Baton Rouge area was the only LSU player to receive first team honors. He holds the LSU record for most career touchdowns for a tight end with 11, and his seven scores last year were a season receiving record.

Green (6-foot-7, 237 pounds) finished 2025 with 33 catches for 433 yards and is poised to build on that success under new head coach Lane Kiffin’s offense with offensive coordinator Charlie Weis Jr.

Junior left tackle Jordan Seaton, a top transfer junior from Colorado, was named to the second team offense in his first season in Baton Rouge. Seaton was 247sports.com’s No. 3 portal player and top transfer offensive tackle this off-season. He was an All-Big 12 second team selection last year.

Senior safety Ty Benefield, a transfer from Boise State, was the Tigers’ only selection on defense. He was named to the second team after making headlines in the Tigers’ secondary all off-season. In three seasons as a Bronco, Benefield made 235 tackles and 18 tackles for loss while intercepting five passes in 33 starts. He was named an All-Mountain West first teamer last season.
