No. 22 LSU (4-1, 1-2 Southeastern Conference) dropped its second conference game under head coach Lane Kiffin with a 35-34 overtime defeat at Kentucky (5-1, 3-1 SEC) on Saturday. The Tigers did not take advantage of opportunities to salt the game away with a late three-point lead and now have a razor-thin margin with six SEC games remaining if they want to make the College Football Playoff.

Kiffin spoke with Baton Rouge reporters on Monday about the loss and previews a clash with No. 16 Mississippi State (4-1, 2-1 SEC) in Tiger Stadium on Saturday (11 a.m., ESPN).
