Spring FB Report: Day 1

LSU returned to the practice field Thursday afternoon for the first time this spring, and its key cogs returned too.

Edge rusher K’Lavon Chaisson practiced without limitations as LSU worked out without pads on Wednesday afternoon. Chaisson, who tore his ACL in the 2018 season opener, had a wrap on his left leg.

As you can see from the videos below, Chaisson moved around pretty well for a guy who tore his ACL six months ago.

OTHER NOTES

  • Quarterback Joe Burrow participated in the first practice of the spring. There was speculation he may sit out after being spotted with his arm in a sling over the winter.
  • Tight end Thaddeus Moss was a full participant. Tight ends Jamal Pettigrew and Aaron Moffitt worked in yellow non-contact jerseys.
  • Defensive end Breiden Fehoko practiced in yellow non-contact jersey. Fellow starters Rashard Lawrence and Kristian Fulton were not present.
