LSU redshirt freshman safety Jhase Thomas made his first career start in the Tigers’ 35-6 thrashing of Texas A&M on Saturday. The Destrehan High School product recorded four total tackles and a pass break up as he took over Ty Benefield’s high safety spot in the starting lineup while Benefield moved to STAR. Thomas played a similar role in the second half against Ole Miss and now has 10 total tackles through the first four games of the season.
