First Lady Melania Trump will be in attendance as No. 14 LSU (6-2, 3-2 Southeastern Conference) hosts No. 5 Alabama (6-2, 4-2 SEC) in Tiger Stadium on Saturday (2:30, ABC).
Trump’s visit to Baton Rouge comes as she and LSU announce the Fostering the Future Endowment Fund. The $5 million fund will go toward supporting scholarships for LSU students who experienced foster care.
The endowment will be announced at an on-campus ceremony before the LSU-Alabama game.
It will be the First Lady’s first time watching the Tigers in person since she and President Donald Trump attended LSU’s 42-25 national championship victory over Clemson in the Superdome in 2020. The pair also visited Tuscaloosa, Alabama during the 2019 season to watch the Crimson Tide and Tigers face off – a 46-41 LSU win.
Donald Trump also attended the Tennessee-Texas game earlier this season. Fans experienced heightened security and were asked to arrive to Neyland Stadium early. The ABC broadcast of the game also experienced audio issues as Secret Service scrambled communication signals when the President was moving locations. He will not be making the trip to Baton Rouge on Saturday, and the university has not announced any changes to stadium security as of Wednesday afternoon.
