Mother Nature continues to wreak havoc on the Baton Rouge Regional schedule.

The winner’s bracket game between LSU and the winner of the Rice/Southeastern game originally scheduled for 7 p.m. Saturday has been postponed until Sunday. The time and opponent remain to be determined depending on what happens earlier in the day.

Play was suspended early Saturday with Rice leading Southeastern 4-1 in the top of the seventh inning in Game Two. That game will resume at 11 a.m. tomorrow with the loser slated to play Utah Valley in an elimination game 55 minutes after the game’s completion. The winner and LSU will play 55 minutes after the completion of said elimination game.

Per NCAA Regional regulations, each game shall be nine innings. The rules also stipulate no team can play more than two complete games in a day.

Paul Mainieri said Friday that Alex Lange will start the winner’s bracket game regardless of opponent.
