Former LSU football coach Brian Kelly has predicted that LSU will lose to Ole Miss on Sept. 19 in Oxford, as he did last season, but he has the Tigers of new coach Lane Kiffin winning every other game but one to finish 10-2.

“Tiger Stadium wins that game,” Kelly said on CBS Sports of the No. 13 Tigers’ opener against No. 23 Clemson on Sept. 5 in Baton Rouge.

But for the Ole Miss game, he said, “I think this really comes down to which quarterback plays better. If Trinidad Chambliss plays to the level that we all think he can, this could be a game that Ole Miss beats LSU.”

Kelly, who was fired during his fourth season with the Tigers last year when he fell out of playoff contention for the fourth time, will be calling Moutain West Conference games this season for CBS.

Here is Kelly’s complete prediction game-by-game of the Tigers’ 2026 regular season:

A 10-2 record will likely get LSU into the playoffs from the first time since it won the national championship in the 2019 season.
