LSU Soccer Hosts Florida Gulf Coast on Sunday Before Road Trip

The LSU soccer team hosts Florida Gulf Coast on Sunday at 1 p.m. on SEC Network+ after losing to Central Florida, 2-1, on Thursday at home.

LSU (1-2) fell out of the top 25 with the loss. Florida Gulf Coast (1-1-1) beat Southern, 4-0, on Thursday. LSU and Florida Gulf Coast have met once previously with LSU winning, 6-1, last season in Fort Myers, Florida.

FGCU is led by Ryanne Robinson and Madara Matrevica along with captains Kate Friday, Lily Borders and Hanna Phillips.

Senior forwards Ava Galligan and Allie Fryer lead the Tigers along with sophomore forward Sariyah Bailey, senior defender Kelsey Major and senior goalkeeper Audur Scheving.

After Sunday, LSU will play at Arizona State on Thursday and then at Arizona on Sunday. The Tigers will return home to host Baylor on Thursday, September 3 to conclude non-conference play before SEC action begins on Sept. 11 against Tennessee.
