Redshirt junior safety Tamarcus Cooley is one of the few returning starters on the LSU defense. Cooley transferred from Houston last season and recorded 70 tackles, 1 ½ tackles for loss and two interceptions in 13 starts. During Saturday’s 51-10 win over Clemson, Cooley made just one tackle but helped lead a defense that did not give up a touchdown until Clemson’s final offensive drive.

Cooley met with reporters in the Team Room at LSU Football Ops after practice on Tuesday and discussed the new-look defense.
