LSU running back Lanard Fournette exits university

LSU running back Lanard Fournette has left the team, according to a report from ESPN that an LSU official confirmed Wednesday afternoon.

The brother of former LSU stand-out and current Jacksonville Jaguars running back Leonard Fournette, Lanard Fournette played in four games in which he’s received 13 carries for 36 yards and a touchdown. He also caught five passes for 19 yards.

Fournette was a senior with a redshirt already under his belt, so it appears his collegiate football career is over

He is no longer listed on LSU’s online roster, and, according to a source, he has withdrawn from the university.

With Fournette gone, it is likely the freshmen John Emery, Tyrion Davis-Price and Chris Curry will carry the load left behind by the former Tiger.
