LSU adds two more DL’s to 2020 class

The LSU football team expanded its group of defensive lineman commitments for its 2020 class to an impressive eight athletes Wednesday morning after receiving commitments from defensive tackles Eric Taylor and Jalen Lee.

247Sports has both athletes listed as four-star prospects, with Lee earning a 0.8926 Composite rating and Taylor garnering a 0.9055 Composite rating.

Taylor comes from Alabama with a 6-foot-4, 280-pound frame and turned down offers from both in-state flagships in Alabama and Auburn to join the Tigers’ class on Tuesday evening.

247Sports lists him as a Top 25 defensive tackle in the country and a Top 300 player nationally. He also had offers from Arkansas, Florida, Florida State, Georgia among tens of others.

Lee chose to stay in his home state with his commitment. The Live Oak prospect comes in at 6-foot-3, 285 pounds and earned All-District 4-5A honors as a junior when he tallied 74 tackles, eight tackles for loss and 5.5 sacks.

He had offers from Oklahoma, Arkansas, Alabama, Florida and Georgia among others.
