Greedy Williams pulls in another All-America honor

They call him Greedy for a reason.

LSU cornerback Greedy Williams has racked up the postseason accolades since finishing his redshirt-freshman season with six interceptions — the most by any Tiger since Morris Claiborne in 2011. He also led the Southeastern Conference with 17 passes defended.

The Football Writers Association of America voted Williams to its Freshman All-America Team, which was released Monday. It’s just the latest in a growing list of recognitions for the blossoming star cornerback.

Williams was previously named All-SEC by both the media (first team) and coaches (second team), an All-SEC Freshman and a third-team All-American by the AP.
