The accolades continue to roll in for LSU freshman Tremont Waters.
After knocking down two threes in the final 12 seconds to push the Tigers past No. 11 Texas A&M, Waters earned SEC Freshman of the Week honors on Monday, the league office announced.
It’s the second such honor for Waters, who also won the honor the first week of the season.
Waters averaged 19.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.5 steals last week in contests against No. 17 Kentucky and at No. 11 Texas A&M. He hit the game-winning three from 30 feet out against the Aggies with less than a second left on the clock.
For the season, the freshman is averaging 17.4 points, 5.9 assists, and 3.6 rebounds per game while shooting 48.4 percent from the floor and 43.7 percent from 3.
