Former LSU standout Angel Reese had a sensational performance in her second WNBA Finals game and propelled the Atlanta Dream to a 79-65 win over the Golden State Valkyries to steal Game 2 on the road and even the series at 1-1.

Reese scored 30 points, half of which came in the first 16 minutes, and grabbed 16 rebounds. The 24-year-old became the youngest WNBA player to record a 30-plus points and 15-plus rebounds in a finals game. She was 10-of-16 from the field, made her only three-point attempt and dished out three assists.

After leading by just two points at halftime, the Dream dominated the third quarter, outscoring Golden State 21-9. Reese recorded her only block and one of her two steals during the quarter’s defensive clinic.

It is the first finals win for the Dream in franchise history after going 0-10 in their three previous trips.

With the series tied, the teams are set to travel to Atlanta to face off on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. (USA Network). The game was originally scheduled for Thursday night, but it was rescheduled to allow the Dream to host the Valkyrie in State Farm Arena instead of their usual home court, the Gateway Center Arena at College Park. State Farm Arena is the home of the Atlanta Hawks and holds 17,000 fans compared to the Dream’s typical home capacity of 3,500.
