No. 11 LSU (3-1, 1-1 Southeastern Conference) delivered a 35-6 beat down of Texas A&M (2-2, 0-2) in a crucial bounce-back win for coach Lane Kiffin and the Tigers on Saturday. LSU outgained the Aggies 206 yards to 197 yards behind a much-improved passing attack and shut down Aggies quarterback Marcel Reed, but the injuries are piling up for the Tigers.

Just a week after safety Dashawn Spears was ruled out for the remainder of the season and tight end Trey’Dez Green was sidelined with a knee injury, linebacker Whit Weeks suffered a broken fibula in the win and will miss significant time if not the rest of the season. Reserve linebacker Charles Ross will also miss the rest of the season with a torn ACL, and quarterback Sam Leavitt played through a hamstring injury.

Kiffin met with local media on Monday to recap the win, preview the Tigers’ final non-conference game against McNeese State and provide an update on Weeks and the rest of the roster moving forward.
