Need proof that LSU coach Lane Kiffin is the Transfer Portal King?

The first college football coach known as the Portal King was Colorado coach Deion Sanders in 2023 in the early years of the no-sit-out portal that began in 2021. Sanders signed the No. 1 portal class in 2023 with a whopping 52 players and turned around a horrible Colorado program to 4-8 and then 9-4 in 2024 with the No. 8 transfer class, and he promised much more. But he fell to No. 19 in the portal and to a 3-9 campaign last season and has the No. 23 portal class going into 2026.

In addition – or subtraction – Sanders lost one of his top players in No. 1 ranked portal offensive tackle Jordan Seaton to the new Portal King – Kiffin, who has had No. 1 transfer classes in 2026 with 41 at LSU and in 2024 while at Ole Miss with 27. Before signing with Sanders, he played three seasons at St. John’s College High in Washington D.C. before playing his senior season at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida.
