LSU/San Diego game rained out at Alex Box Stadium

By JAMES MORAN | Tiger Rag Associate Editor

Mother Nature strikes again.

LSU’s game with San Diego has been rained out and will not be made up, the school announced roughly an hour before scheduled first pitch Tuesday night. Torrential thunder storms hit the Baton Rouge area around 5 p.m. and are forecast to continue throughout the night.

The cancellation means freshman Zack Hess, scheduled to pitch Tuesday, will start for the Tigers on Wednesday night at McNeese State. LSU will begin a three-game series against Wichita State on Friday.

LSU will try to schedule anther midweek game later in the season, per LSU’s official release. If a make-up game with another opponent is scheduled, the Game #9 tickets from the LSU-San Diego game will be good for the make-up game.
