Will Wade has one scholarship left to dish out for the 2017 class, as the current rosters stands.

He’s aiming high for the final addition to an already impressive collection of signees, and LSU is surging for the services of the best unsigned prospect remaining in this year’s class.

Four-star Connecticut point guard Tremont Waters picked up three Crystal Ball picks to LSU from 247Sports.com in the last 24 hours, as the Tigers moved on from graduate transfer Mark Alstork and narrowed their focus to the consensus top-50 prospect.

Waters, a 5-foot-11, 155 playmaker from Notre Dame High School in West Haven, Conn., is the highest-ranked member of the 2017 class yet to sign with a program. ESPN has him at No. 32, Rivals at No. 37, Scout at No. 41, and 247 at No. 51. He originally signed with Georgetown, but the Hoyas granted his release in March.

Other programs to offer Waters include Duke, Kentucky, and Kansas, a list that provides insight into how highly rated Waters is.

A look at his film reveals an impeccable handle, high-major quickness, and a smooth stroke from deep. He pressures the ball well at the point of attack on defense, a skill Wade relishes in his aggressive defensive system.

Landing Waters would put the Tigers back at the full 13 scholarship allotment and vault them into the top 20 in 247Sports’ team recruiting rankings, from No. 40 to No. 16. The Tigers already have signatures from four-star big Mayan Kiir, a pair of four-star wings in Galen Alexander and Brandon Rachal, and junior college transfer combo guard Daryl Edwards.
