LSU linebacker TJ Dottery has been a force in the middle of the Tiger defense since transferring from Ole Miss. The fifth-year senior leads the team with 28 tackles and has stepped up as a vocal leader on the defense with Whit Weeks sidelined with a fractured fibula. The LSU defense has been dominant this season, ranking second in the country in yards allowed per game (220.6), but it will face its first big test without Weeks as LSU (4-1, 1-1 Southeastern Conference) heads to Kentucky (4-1, 2-1 SEC) to face the Wildcats on Saturday (6 p.m., ESPN).
Dottery met with media on Tuesday to share how the defense is adapting without Weeks and preparing for another SEC road game.
