No. 7 LSU goes on the road for the first time in 2026 for coach Lane Kiffin’s dramatic return to No. 8 Ole Miss on Saturday (6:30 p.m. CT, ABC). Both the Tigers and Rebels enter the contest undefeated as they kick off Southeastern Conference play. LSU has been led by its suffocating defense that paved the way in a pair of blowout wins (51-10 vs. Clemson, 45-14 vs. LA Tech). Ole Miss notched a dramatic win over No. 24 Louisville with a game-winning 48-yard field goal as time expired in its and took care of Charlotte with a 41-9 win in its first home game. Kiffin said LSU’s offensive struggles in the first half against LA Tech are a good wake-up call as the team preps for a top-10 matchup.
Kiffin looked toward his not-so-welcoming return to Oxford, Mississippi and broke down the Tigers’ preparation ahead of their biggest test of the season so far.
