Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer leads the No. 9 Crimson Tide (6-2, 4-2 Southeastern Conference) into a critical visit to Tiger Stadium against No. 15 LSU (6-2, 3-2 SEC) on Saturday (2:30 p.m., ABC). The Tigers opened as four-point favorites over the Crimson Tide, the first time LSU has been favored in the rivalry since 2007. Despite any perceived or statistical shortcomings, DeBoer’s Tide has rolled to six wins with its only two losses coming to now-No. 2 Georgia (7-1, 5-1 SEC) and at now-No. 16 Tennessee (6-2, 3-2 SEC). In two wins over LSU since taking over at Alabama, DeBoer’s teams have outscored the Tigers by a combined 62-22.
The third-year Alabama head coach held his weekly press conference on Monday to discuss preparing for the crucial road matchup with the Tigers.
