Ole Miss head coach Pete Golding led the No. 8 Rebels (3-0) to a 32-24 win over No. 7 LSU (2-1) in Lane Kiffin’s return to Oxford, Mississippi. The Rebels dominated the first half, entering the break with a 24-17 lead. After the Tigers battled back to tie the score at 24-24 in the fourth quarter, the Rebels took an eight-point lead with six minutes remaining and came up with a game-winning interception on fourth-and-goal.
Golding spoke to reporters following the dramatic win in Oxford.
