Redshirt junior quarterback Sam Leavitt makes his LSU debut on Saturday against Clemson (6:30, ABC). The Arizona State transfer will make his first appearance since injuring his right foot midway through last season. He has worked to build chemistry with his receivers and learn a new offense in a shortened offseason. Coach Lane Kiffin has been impressed by his mobility and arm talent through the Tigers’ preseason practices and scrimmages, and Leavitt will have the chance to show LSU fans that talent for the first time.
Leavitt spoke with reporters about his first game in Tiger Stadium and offseason progression after practice on Tuesday.
