Junior tight end Trey’Dez Green is poised to be one of the top targets in Lane Kiffin’s first LSU offense. The Zachary High product already holds the program record with 11 receiving touchdowns by a tight end. He hauled in seven scores last year (the TE single-season record) to go along with 33 catches for 433 yards. He ranked first on the team in receiving TDs and third in receptions and yards and is the most experienced pass catcher to return to Baton Rouge. The preseason All-American has the size and athletic ability to line up out wide or in the slot and will wear the coveted No. 7 for the Tigers this season.
Green spoke with local media on Tuesday about his offseason and building chemistry with the offense ahead of LSU’s primetime Week 1 matchup with Clemson on Saturday (6:30, ABC).
