Senior linebacker Whit Weeks is one of the leaders of the LSU defense. He was honored with the No. 7 jersey on that side of the ball this season and will look to return to his status as one of the most dominant defenders in the Southeastern Conference. As a sophomore, he finished second in the conference with 125 total tackles and was named first-team All-SEC. Weeks missed five games last season with a broken ankle and totaled 31 tackles, 3 tackles for loss and a sack in eight starts.
Weeks addressed Baton Rouge reporters after practice on Tuesday as the Tigers prepare to kick off the season on Saturday against Clemson (6:30, ABC).
