LSU is looking for a top receiver to come out of a 13-man position group that features 12 newcomers. Redshirt junior Florida transfer Eugene “Tre” Wilson III was the top-rated portal prospect of the bunch (No. 16 by 247sports.com) and he has made a case to become quarterback Sam Leavitt’s top target this offseason. The former five-star had 107 receptions for 1,043 yards and 10 touchdowns in three seasons at Florida but has struggled with ankle, knee and hip injuries.
Wilson spoke to reporters for the first time as a Tiger in the Team Room at LSU Football Ops after practice on Tuesday.
