Two LSU transfers were named to the 2026 preseason Biletnikoff Award watch list for the top receiver in college football. Fifth-year senior Tre’ Brown III and redshirt junior Jackson Harris are both coming off of electric seasons in the Group of Six and will hope to replicate that success in their first year in Baton Rouge.

Brown (6-foot-2, 190 pounds) was an All-Sun Belt third-team selection at Old Dominion in 2025. The explosive deep threat caught 38 passes for 762 yards and four TDs. His 20.05 yards per catch ranked seventh in the FBS last season.

Harris (6-2, 202) was also a deep-play specialist with Hawaii last season. He racked up 49 catches for 963 yards and 12 touchdowns in 11 games and was named first-team All-Mountain West. He also ranked in the top 10 receivers in the nation with 19.65 yards per reception.

Both will look to make an impact as explosive playmakers in LSU’s rebuilt receiver room. They will compete for playing time with the seven other talented freshmen Lane Kiffin welcomed to Baton Rouge this offseason. Kansas State receiver Jayce Brown, Ole Miss transfer Winston Watkins Jr., former Florida five-star Eugene Wilson III and even junior tight end Trey’Dez Green could all easily take the next step to find themselves in conversations for later-season watch lists.

The preseason watch list features 42 wide receivers and two tight ends. Southeastern Conference schools account for 13 wide receivers, and LSU is one of 10 schools to land two pass catchers on the list, along with California, Colorado, Houston, Miami, Oklahoma, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas and Texas State.
