A Woman’s Place: The Ladies of LSU Football

Thousands have taken the field for LSU football since the sport’s inception on campus in 1893. All of them have a single thing in common:

A Y-chromosome.

Men, and only men, have played the sport for the purple and gold, but behind the scenes are scores of women who have worked tirelessly – and, mostly, anonymously – in support of LSU’s football endeavors.

Here are six on staff currently, each from a different background, each with a different perspective, each with her own specific impact on the program, but all with one thing in common:
