Jay Johnson discusses the latest transfer portal additions and gives a sneak peak at what he has brewing in Baton Rouge. Less than an hour after Johnson said live on the radio show that he just got a commitment from a pitcher, but it hadn’t gone public yet, Tiger Rag reported that Johnson had indeed gained a commitment from USC freshman right-hander Diego Velazquez. He was 5-1 with a 4.26 ERA in the 2026 season.
