Practice report: Arden Key misses second consecutive practice

By JAMES MORAN | Tiger Rag Associate Editor

Outside linebacker Arden Key’s chances of playing in LSU’s regular-season finale against Texas A&M appear to be in serious doubt after he missed a second consecutive practice.

The preseason All-American pass rusher was absent from the media viewing portion of practice Wednesday. He didn’t participate on Tuesday, either, after returning to the practice field Monday — albeit with a brace on his right knee.

Left tackle KJ Malone did practice for the third consecutive day, though he remains in a gold jersey. He participated in some individual drills and saw more contact during the brief portion of practice open to reporters.

Outside linebacker K’Lavon Chaisson, who’d start in Key’s place if he can’t suit up, was also in gold. Inside linebacker Donnie Alexander, cornerback Kevin Toliver and H back Tory Carter were limited as well.

Outside linebacker Corey Thompson was a full participant. He’d practiced in gold during recent weeks.
