Go ahead and mark your calendars: LSU will play its Spring Football Game on April 21.
LSU hasn’t yet released any details on the game, but an ESPN television schedule revealed that LSU will play the annual game on April 21 at 5 p.m. The game will be televised on the SEC Network.
Programs are allowed 15 practices each spring, including the spring game. LSU announced in a subsequent release that it’ll begin spring practice on Saturday, March 11.
The Tigers will begin the instillation of new offensive coordinator Steve Ensminger’s system while looking for a new starting quarterback, among other things. Those spring practices tend to be at least partially open to reporters.
Last year’s spring game was moved to the indoor practice facility at halftime due to a severe thunderstorm, so maybe bring a rain jacket in April.
