LSU safety Ty Benefield has flashed the talent his teammates and coaches raved in the offseason. Although his snaps and opportunities were limited by the Tigers’ dominant defensive front in the first two games of the season, Benefield has racked up 10 total tackles on the season and had five tackles, a sack and a tackle for loss against Ole Miss in Week 3. After struggling to contain Rebels’ quarterback Trinidad Chambliss, LSU will face another mobile passer in No. 23 Texas A&M QB Marcel Reed on Saturday
Benefield previewed the No. 10 Tigers’ matchup with the Aggies after practice on Tuesday.
