LSU coach Lane Kiffin is preparing to lead the No. 15 Tigers (6-2, 3-2 Southeastern Conference) into a pivotal stretch of the season. LSU is one of six SEC teams with two losses and will host No. 9 Alabama (6-2, 4-2 SEC) on Saturday in Tiger Stadium at 2:30 p.m. (ABC). The Tigers and Crimson Tide are both fighting to keep their College Football Playoff hopes alive in a season that has seen titans fall from the top spots of the Associated Press Poll almost weekly. Kiffin helped Alabama to three wins on the other side of the rivalry, but now he will have the opportunity to notch a massive win that could make a statement about not just this Tigers team but the Kiffin era at LSU.
Kiffin met with local media for his weekly press conference to recap the bye week and preview the top 15 matchup with the Crimson Tide.
