LSU coach Lane Kiffin’s Tigers ran more plays (101) and picked up more first downs (39) than any team in the school’s history in the 63-14 win over McNeese State. Their 731 yards of offense was also the second-highest mark ever achieved by an LSU team. Now, No. 10 LSU (4-1, 1-1 Southeastern Conference) will return to SEC action with a road trip to Kentucky (4-1, 2-1 SEC), who was dropped out of the Associated Press top 25 after a 35-34 overtime win at South Carolina.
Kiffin met with Baton Rouge reporters to discuss his team’s preparation for its second road conference matchup.
