A Celebration of Life ceremony in honor of former LSU baseball coach and athletic director Skip Bertman will be held Tuesday, August 25 in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center beginning at 7 p.m., the Bertman family has announced.
Doors will open at 6 p.m.
Bertman, 88, died on Friday in Baton Rouge because of heart issues.
A ceremony with Bertman family and friends and LSU baseball players will be held before the public services.

Bertman came to LSU in 1983 from the associate head coach/pitching coach position at Miami. A native of Detroit who grew up in Miami, Bertman led the Tigers to five national championships from 1991 through 2000 before retiring after the 2001 season and becoming athletic director until 2009.
Bertman took LSU to the College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska, 11 times from 1986 through 2000. He also won seven Southeastern Conference regular season championships and put 40 players into Major League Baseball from LSU.
