The future is bright for LSU women’s basketball.

The Tigers may have signed just one player in their 2026 recruiting class, but that player is poised to make a major impact in the coming years.

Five-star signee Lola Lampley delivered an impressive performance in the McDonald’s All-American Game in Phoenix on Tuesday night. The 6-2 wing scored 10 points on 2-of-5 shooting, helping the East to a 91-71 win over the West. She also added five rebounds, a steal and an assist.

The Indianapolis native played aggressively throughout the entire game, earning a game-high four trips to the free-throw line and converting 6-of-8 from the charity stripe.

One of Lampley’s standout moments came in the second quarter, when she secured a defensive rebound and pushed the ball coast-to-coast, finishing with a contested midrange jumper with four minutes remaining before halftime.

Shortly after, she continued to attack, earning two more trips to the line and knocking down three of four free throws.

After a quiet third quarter, Lampley came alive late. She drew a foul with 5:01 remaining and hit both free throws, then followed with a defensive stop and a contested transition layup with 4:32 to play.

While it’s difficult to fully evaluate players in Tuesday night’s setting, one thing is clear: Lampley’s versatility and ability to create in transition give her a dynamic edge that should fit well in Kim Mulkey’s system.

Lampley ranks in the top-30 of all major recruiting services including 247Sports (No. 15), On3 (No. 17), Prospects Nation (No. 17) and ESPN (No. 29).

Other note:
On Tuesday, Lampley’s older sister, Jaylah, announced her intention to enter the transfer portal when it opens on April 6. The 6-1 combo guard spent her freshman season at Mississippi State where she averaged 8.3 points on 50% shooting along with 4.7 rebounds per game.

With the departures of Flau’jae Johnson and Divine Bourrage, LSU will likely be in the market for an experienced wing. That could open the door for a potential reunion between the Lampley sisters in Baton Rouge.
