Will Clapp selected by the New Orleans Saints in the seventh round

So much for that supposed policy that the New Orleans Saints don’t draft players from their state’s flagship institution, huh?

The Saints selected LSU center Will Clapp in the seventh round of the 2018 NFL Draft on Saturday afternoon. Clapp, the first LSU player taken by the Saints since 2010, went with the No. 245 overall pick.

Clapp, a New Orleans native, was a three-year starter at LSU. He has started games at both guard spots and played center this past season, earning All-SEC recognition at both positions.
