LSU coach Lane Kiffin and the Tigers got back on track with a 35-6 win at home over No. 23 Texas A&M (2-2, 0-2 Southeastern Conference). No. 10 LSU improved to 3-1 and 1-1 in SEC play. The Tigers’ defense stifled the Aggies and quarterback Marcel Reed, who completed just 10 of 26 passes for 106 yards and an interception and ran 10 times for -13 yards.
Kiffin spoke with reporters after the victory to recap the near must-win game.
The Tigers will have their final non-conference game against McNeese State next week. The Cowboys are 2-3 on the season and 1-2 in Southland Conference play after a 27-24 win over East Texas A&M on Saturday.
