LSU Football Depth Chart Before Opener Vs. Clemson – Battle At Defensive Tackle, Says Lane Kiffin

The days of LSU’s football depth chart being distributed the week of the game at the head coach’s weekly press conference on Monday have long ended.

New coach Lane Kiffin’s two-deep list will not be released by LSU until the day of the game in the pressbox on Saturday when the No. 11 Tigers host No. 23 Clemson in Tiger Stadium at 6:30 p.m. on ABC.

“I feel like things have really kind of settled down for the most part, except really defensive tackle,” Kiffin said on Monday. “Still a lot of guys doing good things in there. Some old, some young, and so we’ll rotate in there. But I would say outside of that, things have started to settle down.”

As of Saturday’s scrimmage at Tiger Stadium, the starting defensive tackles were true freshman Deuce Geralds and junior Dominick McKinley, who had been with the third team early in camp. The backup tackles on Saturday were true freshman Richard Anderson and Auburn junior transfer Malik Blocton. Both have been with the first team often in camp. The No. 1 edge rushers were senior Ole Miss transfer Princewill Umanmielen and junior Tennessee transfer Jordan Ross.
