Counting down the days to football season (by the way, we’re under 50 now), Tiger Rag Radio is bringing you scouting reports on LSU opponents for the 2010 campaign.

Already we’ve talked to Evan Markfield of Carolina Blue about the Tar Heels and their prospects entering year four of the Butch Davis tenure. CLICK HERE for that interview.

TR Radio also reached out to Greg Hunter, editor of Blue & Gold News, which covers West Virginia athletics. Hunter gave us the low-down on Bill Stewart’s team and who will take over at quarterback. CLICK HERE for that interview.

Today, we’ve got another treat for you as Rod Bramblett, voice of the Auburn Tigers, joins myself and co-host Jeff Palermo to discuss AU football heading into Gene Chizik’s second year on the plains.

Bramblett broke down the squad, starting with junior college transfer quarterback Cam Newton and moving onto the Tigers’ projected starter at running back, Mario Fannin (pictured). He also talked about the defense, a sore spot for Auburn in 2009, and touched on a top-10 recruiting class which will also hit the field running.

The longtime broadcaster then joked about his relationship with Jim Hawthorne, a friend of his who also calls all three major sports (football, men’s basketball, baseball) for his respective university.

I think the TV,sports football writers, are becoming to fast to let the mistakes and bad calls slide for some of the SEC head coaches over the expense of the other SEC head coaches..Les Miles bad calls and mistakes, should become a federal case and go to the Supreme court, when the other over looked head coaches mistakes and bad calls are OK.
How do you figure that, and why?

Got something to say?
