Pratt commits to LSU
Shepard plays key role in recruiting Pratt

It did not take ESPN’s Top 150 prospect Dexter Pratt long to make his decision. After visiting the LSU campus with one of LSU’s latest commits and newest team spokesperson Russell Shepard, Pratt decided LSU was the place for him.
“It’s really good news,” Pratt stated. “I talked to coach [Les] Miles yesterday so he knew what was going on and how I felt. I told him it might take me a while, but after thinking about the type of program LSU had and how they help their players out academically I knew that was where I wanted to go.
“I wanted to get the recruiting stuff over with too so I could focus on my season,” Pratt added. “I am now done with recruiting and I do not plan on visiting any other schools. I think I am going to skip LSU’s spring game this weekend and head up to Baton Rouge again the following weekend.”
The Navasota High School product claimed to have received a push from one of his future teammates.
“Russell (Shepard) helped me out a lot,” Pratt informed. “He really didn’t pressure me too much. He basically just told me to do whatever I wanted because it was my decision. I think it’s cool that we are going to come into it together and be a part of the same class.”
The big 6’2, 230lb running back is coming into the system with an open mind. He is not concerned about being the featured back or sharing carries as a unit.
“I just plan on coming in and working hard and then seeing whatever comes out of it,” Pratt concluded.
Note: Last year, Pratt completed his junior season with 205 carries for 2,058 yards including 20 touchdowns. He also had 16 catches for 366 yards and four touchdowns.

I like the way you have this set up where I do not have to place user name and pass word and then for some mistake other than mine they tell me that the user name or pass wprd is wrong, like I do not know my own pass word. It is time wasted, so I have cut back on who I approach with comments, and just write my own column. Thanks!!!
I hope that LES MILES does not fool around and lose games, by holding RP out of practice, I know he is heads and sholders above every one else without practice but he would be that much better with the practice…
LSU should repeat again this year and probably play TENNESSEE in the SEC championship game and OHIO STATE in the NC game!!! maranatha!!!
I am sorry, I should have said something about PRATT, sounds like a great back, I would like to see another BILLY CANNON, but I kinda doubt that there will ever be another CANNON in football or another MARAVITCH in BASKETBALL, THEY WERE MOLD MAKERS!!!
I do like PRATT and his attitude. AS an old RECRUITER, I like to know what we are after and get them in the BARN early, and every one is happy! i DO LIKE 4.4 OR BETTER!!! BUT HIS SIZE AND IF GOOD QUICKNESS MAY MAKE UP THE DIFFERENCE…I am a little worried about LES and the way that he is treating RP though, he needs to work out with the new team!!!
