Practice Report: Sept. 18

Members of the LSU football team who missed Monday’s practice could be seen working out in some capacity in the second day of preparation for Louisiana Tech.

Defensive end Glen Logan, who left during the fourth quarter of LSU’s 22-21 victory against Auburn, could be seen practicing in a yellow no-contact jersey.

Linebacker Ray Thornton – who practiced Monday despite being injured on the opening kickoff against Auburn – also wore a yellow jersey as the Tigers were in full pads for the first time this week.

Offensive tackle Saahdiq Charles and wide receiver Derrick Dillon – both of whom missed Monday’s practice – seemed to be going at full speed during individual drills.

Dillon serves as a welcome return just three days after catching a 73-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter against Auburn

Once again, all three of head coach Ed Orgeron’s suggested replacements for safety John Battle were at practice. Those include safety Todd Harris and cornerbacks Terrance Allexander and Kary Vincent.

Battle will miss the first half of Saturday’s game against the Bulldogs due to being called for a targeting penalty in the second half against Auburn.
Tight end Thaddeus Moss was at practice for the second day in a row as he awaits and prepares for his first appearance in a game this season.
