Practice Report: Nov. 20

LSU’s leading wide receiver Justin Jefferson did not participate in practice Tuesday afternoon.

The sophomore has caught 45 passes for 725 yards and three touchdowns this season as he has become a favorite target of quarterback Joe Burrow.

Orgeron has made no mention of Jefferson being out or even questionable for Saturday’s regular-season finale against Texas A&M, so no need to worry just yet. Orgeron is scheduled to participate in the Southeastern Conference’s weekly teleconference Wednesday at 10 a.m.

Continuing news from Monday, tight end Jamal Pettigrew did participate in Tuesday’s practice, marking his first time in pads, at least in a public setting, since having surgery for a torn ACL in August.

His return to the field is timely, as fellow LSU tight end Thaddeus Moss tweeted a picture of himself in a hospital bed getting ready for surgery on a lingering foot injury that kept him out for the season.
