It’s game week for LSU, and you know what that means: depth charts!

LSU released its first “official” depth chart Monday prior to Les Miles’ first press luncheon of the season. There weren’t many surprises, but there’s some noteworthy confirmations of who leads at position battles we’ve reported on in recent weeks.

Let’s start on the offensive line, where K.J. Malone, as expected, is listed as LSU’s starting left tackle. Toby Weathersby is the first-team right tackle and Maea Teuhema is listed as the backup at both spots, echoing Miles’ assessment last week that the three tackles were rotating.

Flipping sides of the ball, junior Greg Gilmore is listed as the starting nose tackle. Travonte Valentine is the second string behind him. True freshman Michael Divinity is listed as the starting outside linebacker opposite Arden Key. Miles has said either Divinity or Tashawn Bower would start there.

As far as special teams, Colby Delahoussaye, as expected, is listed as LSU’s place kicker. Cameron Gamble is ahead of freshman Connor Culp for the kickoff specialist job, per the depth chart.
