LSU nabs defensive back in Mississippi’s Raydarious Jones

LSU swooped in last minute and snagged another defensive back to add to its ranks as four-star cornerback Raydarious Jones selected the Tigers Wednesday afternoon.

Jones, who remained uncommitted until signing his National Letter of Intent, was reportedly an Ole Miss favorite until the final days leading up to the early signing period, but Ed Orgeron and his coaching staff made a late push that paid off.

Jones stands 6-foot-2 and weighs 170 pounds, and he’s clocked in a 4.41 seconds in the 40-yard dash.

He marks the second uncommitted signee LSU landed today, the first being defensive Siaki Ika of Utah.

His addition to the program further completes what should be a nearly-complete and well-rounded LSU class if things continue to go the Tigers’ way during the early signing period.
