LSU lands commitment from 2018 OT Cameron Wire

LSU lost an in-state offensive tackle this weekend when Willie Allen announced his intention to transfer.

Ed Orgeron landed a verbal commitment from another late Wednesday night.

East Ascension High School tackle Cameron Wire pledged to Ed Orgeron and the Tigers via a twitter post. You can read his message bellow.

According to 247Sports’s composite rankings, the 6-foot-6, 270-pound Gonzalez native is the 40th best offensive tackle in the class and 23rd best player in Louisiana. He holds offers from, among others, Alabama and Auburn.

Wire is commit No. 17 in LSU’s 2018 class and the third offensive linemen. LSU’s 2018 class is currently rated third in the nation by 247 Sports.
