Two Tigers have now gone in the Top 10 of the NFL Draft for the second time in program history.

The New York Jets selected All-American safety Jamal Adams with the sixth pick in Thursday’s draft. He was drafted two spots behind LSU teammate Leonard Fournette, who went to the Jaguars.

Adams, a former five-star signee out of Texas, joins his father, George Adams, as a father-son first-round duo. Adams was the first round pick of the New York Giants in the 1985 draft as a running back. Adams went on to develop into a do-it-all play-maker at safety who earned All-SEC and All-America honors.

The Adams’ are the seventh such duo in NFL history. Cornerback Tre’Davious White now remains undrafted among the three LSU players in attendance in Philadelphia.
