LSU’s final target on Signing Day is headed elsewhere.

Marvin Wilson, the No. 6 player in the entire Class of 2017, according to 247Sports.com’s Composite Rankings system, will sign with Florida State.

The Episcopal (Bellaire, Texas) High product selected Florida State over LSI, Ohio State and Texas.

Wilson, a 6-foot-4, 330-pound defensive tackle, is thought to be an ACC-ready player who could plug in from day one at the heart of the Seminoles’ defense. His loss will be offset at LSU by Ed Alexander and Greg Gilmore, as well as versatile players like Christian LaCouture and Rashard Lawrence and newcomer Tyler Shelvin.

LSU will likely finish with 23 members in its class, which currently ranks No. 5 in the nation, according to 247.
